Linking Tax Sops and Employment Potential

The Economic Times (of India) reports that companies wil get tax sops if they declare the jobs they will generate and the economic benefits arising from the sops.

I believe this is a great move. Almost all companies ask for tax sops. And many companies do get them [1]. The government only expected the companies to generate more revenue from the companies till now. With this move, it'll be on paper, and the sops could be linked to performance. If a company generates 100 jobs a year and generates a revenue of $100,000 from exports, the government is definitely going to gain from the various taxes and levies. This also means the unemployment rate goes down.

A very smart move indeed.
