Linux on ARC

Linux on the ARC platform has been released... The long-standing not-to-be-disclosed platform I was porting Linux to is now finally in the open... it's the ARC family of processors. The press releases are here [arc.com] and here [lwn.net].

However, I was involved in porting uClinux and uClibc to the A4. The A700, like the A4, is a RISC processor with a few extensions. Of course, it also has the MMU. However, most of the board-specific stuff is the same... the team here did a great job on getting Linux on the A700, congrats to them all! :-)
